Registered Dental Hygienist

• **Job Overview** Looking to hire a Registered Dental Hygienist for Mondays and some Tuesdays.
• Who will help maintain patient healthy smiles through preventive care, assessments, and clear education.
• You'll work closely with the dental team to deliver attentive care in general dentistry, using sound clinical judgment and careful documentation.
• Your impact: By identifying oral health concerns early and explaining practical care steps, you help patients and families make informed decisions about their dental health.
• **Responsibilities** * Assess patients, review medical records, document findings in electronic health records (EHR), and record vital signs as needed.
• * Provide preventive dental care, take dental X-rays as directed, and follow infection control and aseptic technique standards.
• * Educate patients, including children and caregivers, on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• * Use Eaglesoft, Dentrix for electronic medical record (EMR) systems; complete documentation review and coding tasks within the role's scope.
• **Qualifications** * Current Registered Dental Hygienist license required; meet applicable requirements for dental X-rays and patient care.
• * Clinic experience preferred.
• * Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, patient assessment, and dental equipment.
• * Demonstrated patient care and client communication skills; able to work effectively with pediatric patients.
• * Understanding of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), patient confidentiality, EHR management, infection prevention and control, and healthcare infection prevention practices.
