About this role

• A comprehensive position in the Division of Environmental Health.
• Performs technical investigations in all Environmental Health Programs.
• Primary responsibilities include regulatory work in the retail food, potable water and private sewage programs.

• **JOB FUNCTION:** Food establishment inspections, water well and private sewage disposal system inspections and complaint investigations.
• **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 30 hours of biological or physical science.
• Non-licensed, entry level applicants are encouraged to apply.
• **STARTING SALARY/BENEFITS:** Entry level: Grade 7N, $27.41/hour Licensed Environmental Health Practitioner: Grade 8N; $29.25/hour Benefits include Health/Life Insurance, Pension Plan, Deferred Compensation Plan, paid holidays, personal, vacation and sick leave.
• **HOURS:** 37.5 hours per week with some weekend and holidays.
• Flexible schedule that may require regular weekend rotation.
