• **Duties** * Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and building interior components to ensure safety and efficiency.
• * Troubleshoot issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters and hand tools.
• * Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to maintain optimal climate control within the facility.
• * Carry out facilities equipment maintenance including mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing systems, and building interior upkeep.
• * Execute maintenance painting projects-residential painting included-to enhance the aesthetic appeal of interior spaces.
• * Use welding skills for metal repairs and fabrication when necessary; supervise or assist with complex repair projects.
• * Read schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose problems accurately; follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities.
• * Assist with supervising or leading small teams on maintenance tasks; demonstrate leadership qualities in coordinating repairs and inspections.
• * Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs; utilize MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) procedures effectively.
• * Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents.
• **Qualifications** * Proven experience in general maintenance, repair operations (MRO), or facilities maintenance roles.
• * Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiar with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
• * Skilled in welding, carpentry, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system repair, and electrical work.
• * Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams confidently; experience with electrical equipment repair essential.
• * Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting.
• * Knowledge of building interior maintenance practices including painting-residential painting preferred-and facilities upkeep.
• * Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is desirable.
• * Excellent communication skills in English; able to follow instructions clearly and document work accurately.
• * Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely.
