Paramedic

About this role

• Duties: - Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care to patients in a pre-hospital setting - Assess patient conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans - Administer medications and perform advanced medical procedures as necessary - Safely transport patients to medical facilities while providing ongoing care - Communicate with hospital staff to provide patient information and receive medical direction - Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately and thoroughly 1.
• Be a high school graduate or have obtained a GED.
• Possess a current PA State Paramedic certification that is **not** under suspension and or a Nationally Registered Paramedic Certification.
• Possess a current unencumbered, PA driver's license.
• Have an endorsement for Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator, curriculum must be approved by the PA Dept.
• of Health.
• Possess BTLS or PHTLS/ITLS certification, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIMS 100, 700, 800 and Hazardous Materials Awareness level.
• Have tact and sympathy as well as a willingness to assist patients with a variety of illnesses.
• Have the ability to express oneself verbally and in writing.
• Have an appearance and standard of conduct that enhances the position.
• Have 20/20 vision in both eyes or be capable of correction to 20/20 by use of corrective measures.
• Have hearing within a range to detect, Auscultate blood pressures, Detect lung sounds, Detect heart tones, Detect bowel sounds, Hear radio communications and emergency alerts.
